Andor Sanderson
Piano & ambient ensemble concert
Guest Forest Voice - Labus Lili & Variart Trio Ensemble
April 11, 9:00 PM
Hungarian composer Andor Sanderson founded Wave of Sound in 2013, releasing music through Italy’s Blue Spiral Records. His modern-classical and ambient piano compositions draw from personal memories and nature, evoking the worlds of Brian Eno, Ólafur Arnalds, and Ludovico Einaudi.
After a sold-out December concert at Lumiere Hall, Wave of Sound returns in April for an immersive experience featuring piano, cinematic soundscapes, ethereal vocals, and a live string orchestra. The guest of the evening is Forest Voice – Lili Labus, whose intuitive songs blend melancholic depth with airy, ethereal tones. The Variart Trio Ensemble will provide a rich orchestral backdrop.
The unique visual artists of the concert: Attila Mark Kőrös, Makró VJ and Dan-Cristian-Pădureț.
Andor’s latest album Björt, released in December, will be presented at the event. This deeply emotional modern-classical and ambient collection includes Breathe, featuring Lili Labus. Described by musicaintorno.it as “a perfect example of music that moves both mind and heart,” Björt offers ten intimate and inspiring compositions from Wave of Sound.
“An album that warms, attracts, cheers and at the same time makes you think, because this is what the new work of the Hungarian composer conveys.” - musicwebmagazine.it
‘Björt’ is a profound work that weaves itself into the complexity of nature, the process of letting go. Moving from intense and atmospheric songs to softer pieces, ‘Björt’ is an album that is kept alive by sophisticated sounds and offers a remarkable listen.” - musicinabox.it
Andor has earned acclaim locally and internationally, performing at major festivals like Sziget, OZORA, and Piano City Milano. His music featured in the Balaton Hangjai project, and Elmerülve, recorded with AnnaBori, was captured in a live session by Géza Vadas.
