Afrikora Lamine
Lamine, originally from Senegal and a member of the renowned Sissoho griot family, is both a guardian and an innovator of West African musical traditions. The kora, a 21-string traditional Mandinka instrument, beautifully blends ancient melodies with contemporary musical elements. Lamine’s art is more than music – it’s a journey into the world of West African storytelling and sound.
What to Expect?
A unique fusion of two extraordinary instruments: the melodic tones of the handpan and the timeless yet contemporary sounds of the kora. The evening offers not only a rich musical experience but also a visual feast, as the performance is complemented by Lumiere Hall’s captivating exhibition.
